Parets del Vallès is a municipality in the Province of Barcelona, Catalonia. It is located to the southwest of the Vallès Oriental region, 7 km from its capital Granollers, and 23 km from Barcelona. It has an area of about 9 km², and about 19,000 inhabitants. From north to south, the Tenes River crosses the municipality. The population is divided into six neighbourhoods: Barri Antic, on a hill around the church, l'Eixample, the one with the most inhabitants, planned in the 1930s, L'Escorxador, Can Cerdanet, Can Volart, and Can Riera.</ p>
